The photography was introduced to the world by Thomas Wedgewood during 1800. During the beginning times of photography he could capture only the shadows of the image kept under the sunlight. Later during 1826 it was a French person who succeeded in capturing an image from his window. Then there was film photography which was invented by George Eastman during 1885. Then gradually photography developed with many putting their efforts in bringing up new equipments for photography.

Photography was first emerged only in black and white colours. Later on, it was also invented in different colours. But even though colour photography was introduced for long any years many still preferably chose black and white due to its classic appearance and low cost when compared to colour.

There are many techniques in capturing photographs. A few of them are:

  • High-Speed Photography: This is a photograph captured freezing a moment which is mostly missed by us. The photos captured of a high-speed phenomenon are basically known as a high-speed phenomenon.
  • Night Photography: Night photography is mostly the images captured during the night or during the sunset. These can be captured either by using artificial lights or even by using the normal light available by waiting for the right moment to click.
  • Motion Blur: This image is taken when something is moving to make the camera move along with it. This can be to show the sense of speed in which the object moves.
  • Black and White Photography: This is one of the basic types of photography. Now also people go for black and white photography to get a nostalgic feeling or the picture or even because this looks more effective and can convey emotions and message much better than the colour images.
  • Macro Photography: This is mainly used to shoot small items very closely. For example shooting of insects or some other small objects to get their closer view is called macro photography.

Photography can also be learnt for the sake of journalism. Photojournalism basically means to capture still images of anything which has to be conveyed as anew to the public. There is great demand for photojournalists in today’s market as it is a highly risk involved job when comes to crucial cases. There are many online colleges which provide with digital media degree courses and also placement in high media companies.
